Meta Lead Counsel, Regulatory New York , New York Apply Now Meta seeks a highly motivated team player to join our North American Regulatory Enforcement legal team. The successful candidate will work with a talented and supportive team to help lead on high-profile, precedent-setting regulatory inquiries, investigations, engagements, and initiatives with enforcement authorities at the relating to Federal, State and local and Federal levels on investigations and to issues involving our products, including data privacy, consumer protection, civil rights, ads, payments, content, and platform integrity cyber-security matters. As part of the role, they will partner with internal stakeholders from across the company business to mitigate risk.The ideal candidate will have good judgment, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong interest in learning about new technologies and areas of law. The individual should have experience with creative problem solving, thinking critically about risk mitigation, and driving remediation.This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment with a broad and interesting remit.Required Skills: Lead Counsel, Regulatory Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategy for managing and resolving regulatory inquiries and investigationsRepresent the company in connection with regulatory inquiries and disputes, including supervision of outside counselCollaborate with product, public policy and communications teams to develop and implement regulatory and policy strategy on important and breaking issuesRepresent the company in connection with regulatory engagement on emerging technology and legal issues.Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house with experience representing companies in complex litigation, investigations, and/or regulatory mattersExperience developing and executing legal strategyExperience collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Experience with consumer protection, privacy, and/or intermediary liability issuesExperience working with internet and technology companies or regulatorsExperience advising business clients on product issues or developing areas of the law or managing investigationsPublic Compensation: $198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefitsMeta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
